Election Process

Each eligible member club will receive one ballot to the email registered with the NAIGC (typically a club specific email address or the president’s email address). If your club did not receive an email or are unsure which email you ballot was sent to, please reach out to your regional representative or email info@naigc.org

There are 9 available positions for the Board this year, of which:

  • Four will be 3-year positions, awarded to the 4 candidates that receive the highest votes.
  • Four will be 2-year positions, awarded to the next 4 highest rated candidates
  • One will be a 1-year position, awarded to the next 1 highest voted candidate

Any other candidates will not be elected for the 2024-2025 NAIGC Board.

Board Candidates and Voting Recommendation

Each year a group of impartial volunteers from across the organization reviews the candidate applications against the needs of the board and puts forth their recommendations for who they believe will best serve the organization along with their rationale. It is recommended that clubs read the following materials before casting their vote:

Rank Choice Explained

A ranked-choice voting system (RCV) is an electoral system in which voters rank candidates by preference on their ballots. If a candidate wins a majority of first-preference votes, they are declared the winner. If no candidate wins a majority of first-preference votes, the candidate with the fewest first-preference votes is eliminated. First-preference votes cast for the failed candidate are eliminated, lifting the second-preference choices indicated on those ballots. A new tally is conducted to determine whether any candidate has won a majority of the adjusted votes. The process is repeated until a candidate wins an outright majority.
